NEW YORK, NY (July 9, 2026) —The Moth today announced its Fall 2026 Mainstage season, TIGHTROPE—a 17-show tour across 15 cities featuring stories of risk, reinvention, vulnerability, and courage. Each Mainstage performance brings together a curated lineup of storytellers — from celebrated artists and public figures to extraordinary people from all walks of life — sharing true stories live and without notes.

Running from September through December 2026, the tour will visit London, Toronto, New Haven, Honolulu, New Brunswick, New York City, Eugene, Boston, Cincinnati, East Lansing, Fargo, Atlanta, Chicago, Austin, and Portland. Centered on the theme TIGHTROPE, the Fall season explores what it means to move forward despite uncertainty — taking chances, trusting your instincts, and stepping into the unknown.

Whether funny, heartbreaking, exhilarating, or unexpected, these stories remind us that the moments that change our lives often begin with a single uncertain step.

As we approach our 30th year, I’m more convinced than ever that what The Moth does — creating the conditions for a true story to be told and genuinely received — is exactly what this moment requires,” says Gina Duncan, Chief Executive Officer at The Moth.

The Fall Mainstage season arrives during a milestone year as The Moth celebrates the 25th anniversary of StorySLAMs, the open-mic storytelling series that has helped build vibrant storytelling communities around the world. Several stops on this season’s tour will take place in cities with thriving year-round StorySLAM communities — including London, New York, Boston, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Chicago, Austin, and Portland — the beating heart of The Moth, where audiences and storytellers gather month after month to share true, personal stories.
