At the center of everything The Moth does is a practice — a set of principles for helping people find, shape, and tell true personal stories. That practice works in a corporate boardroom and in a community center. In a high school classroom and in a prison. In Nairobi and in New York. 

With 50+ instructors worldwide, we design storytelling workshops to meet communities where they are.

What changes is not the methodology. What changes is who’s in the room — and what they need the story to do.

The Moth has been developing and refining this methodology for nearly 30 years. It is not a curriculum. It is a practice. And it travels.
