What is a StorySLAM?
The Moth StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling competition in which anyone can share a true, personal, 5‑minute story on the night’s theme. Sign up for a chance to tell a story or sit back and enjoy the show.
Tonight’s Theme
KINDNESS: Prepare a five-minute story about compassion. Did you give it or receive it? Gifts with no strings attached, but the ribbons that wrap them. Selflessly (or selfishly) doing a good deed. Getting more with honey than vinegar, or being cruel to be kind. The smile from a stranger that turned your day around. Whether through time, money, or words, tell us about the moments benevolence changed you. In a world where you can be anything, be kind. This event coincides with Houston Compassion Week, sponsored by Compassionate Houston, and World Kindness Day on November 13th.
