Apply for The Moth StoryLab Summer Intensive

This is a free out-of-school one-week storytelling workshop for rising 10th-12th grade students.

The in-person program meets at The Moth HQ (75 Broad St. in NYC). 

The virtual program will meet online, via Zoom. 

Please read scheduling details and apply for the program(s) that make the most sense for you and your location.

StoryLab In-Person schedules to choose from: 

  • Session 1: 12:30 – 3:30pm EST || 7/20, 7/21, 7/22, 7/23, and 7/24

  • Session 2: 12:30 – 3:30pm EST || 7/27, 7/28, 7/29, 7/30, and 7/31

StoryLab Virtual schedules to choose from: 

East Coast

  • Session 1: 12:30 – 3:30pm EST || 7/20 – 7‑24

  • Session 2: 12:30 – 3:30pm EST || 7/27 – 7‑31

West Coast

  • Session 1: 12:30 – 3:30pm PST || 7/20 – 7‑24

  • Session 2: 12:30 – 3:30pm PST || 7/27 – 7‑31

Applications for both in-person and virtual programs will close on July 17 at 11:59 pm EST. Groups fill up quickly so apply soon.

Application decisions will be released on a rolling basis.

This is a space where having cameras ON and being in a private, quiet space is highly encouraged!

This is a trusted teacher or faculty member at your school. The advisor is someone who can help you with anything you may need for this workshop and who we will be in touch with. They do not attend workshops.

Ask your advisor for an email address that they check reliably.
