StoryLab Fall 2026

In-Person & Virtual Storytelling Workshop

The Moth StoryLab is a free 8‑week storytelling workshop for rising 10th-12th grade students. This application is for both the StoryLab in-person program for participants in the NYC area AND the StoryLab virtual program for folks outside of NYC. 

Please read scheduling details about both programs below and apply for the program(s) that make the most sense for you and your location.

StoryLab in-person sessions (lower Manhattan):
Session A: Saturdays 12 – 2 pm EST || Oct 24, Oct 31, Nov 7, Nov 14, Nov 28, Dec 5, Dec 12
Session B: Sundays 12- 2 pm EST || Oct 25, Nov 1, Nov 8, Nov 15, Nov 29, Dec 6, and Dec 13
 

StoryLab virtual sessions (via Zoom):
Mondays 4:00 — 6:00 pm EST || Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 16, Nov 23, Nov 30, Dec 7
Tuesdays 4:00 — 6:00 pm EST || Oct 20, Oct 27, Nov 3, Nov 10, Nov 17, Nov 24, Dec 1, Dec 8
Saturdays 12:00 — 2:00 pm EST || Oct 24, Oct 31, Nov 7, Nov 14, Nov 28, Dec 5, Dec 12
Sundays 12:00 — 2:00 pm EST || Oct 25, Nov 1, Nov 8, Nov 15, Nov 29, Dec 6, Dec 13
Tuesdays 7:00 — 9:00 pm EST (4 – 6 pm PST), Oct 20, Oct 27, Nov 3, Nov 10, Nov 17, Nov 24, Dec 1, Dec 8

Applications for both programs will close on October 5th at 11:59pm EST.  Groups fill up quickly so apply soon! Application decisions will be released on October 11th.

Do you have access to wifi and a device with Zoom? 

This is a space where having cameras ON and being in a private, quiet space is highly encouraged!

This is a trusted teacher or faculty member at your school. The advisor is someone who can help you with anything you may need for this workshop and who we will be in touch with. They do not attend workshops.

Ask your advisor for an email address that they check reliably.
